NetForecast’s Response to the FCC’s Request for Comment on Its Proposed Broadband “Nutrition Label”

NetForecast recommends that the FCC include better latency performance data in its proposed rules requiring Internet providers to display labels for consumers to comparison shop. Past efforts have focused on last-mile bandwidth, which although important, provides diminishing value to the user experience above 50 Mbps. Latency, in contrast, is an ever-present factor that degrades experience across a wide range of use cases.
