Starlink Beta Internet Performance Report

NetForecast conducted a head-to-head comparison between Starlink and a cable ISP to the same target server. We found the Starlink LEO network shows great potential to provide internet performance comparable to terrestrial ISPs.

In a head-to-head comparison between a Starlink connection and a cable ISP in central Virginia to a target server in Washington DC, Starlink’s latency averaged 22 milliseconds longer than the cable ISP.
